Bilva: definition

Bilva is a hard, rough shelled fruit appreciated for its sweet and slightly sour taste. It is often consumed fresh, in juice or in the form of jam. In addition to its food use, the bilva fruit is also valued for its medicinal properties. It is rich in vitamins, minerals and health-promoting phytochemicals.

Ingredients (4 people) for soft chocolate and bilva cookies

  • 400 g dark chocolate
  • 125 g butter or 100 g of ghee
  • 125 g powdered sugar
  • 1 tablespoon Bilva
  • 250 g flour
  • 1 egg
  • 25 g vanilla sugar
  • 1 sachet baking powder

Preparation (20 minutes) of chocolate chip and bilva cookies

Preheat the oven to 220°C (thermostat 7).

First mix the bilva, sugar, vanilla sugar, flour and yeast, then add the melted butter and the egg. Stir until you have a smooth paste then add the dark chocolate in small pieces. Bake for 9 minutes for soft and chewy cookies.

For a delicious and comforting moment, you can accompany your cookies with a chai tea latte.
