Regardless of how you consume this ingredient, the benefits of turmeric are recognized in many countries around the world.
In what form should turmeric be consumed?
There are 130 different species of turmeric, but the best known of all are turmeric xanthorrhiza or turmeric Longa. It also comes in several forms: powder or root. The powder is the most known and most common form when it comes to consumption. It makes its use much more practical, because it is enough to sprinkle it on a dish or to incorporate it in a drink, without losing its virtues. As for the dried roots, they first need to be softened in water at room temperature. They are then drained and crushed with a blender. The roots can also be eaten fresh, in the form of slices, to release all the flavors of turmeric and make your dishes unique.
