Guggul, also known as "Indian myrrh", is a natural and statin-free solution to target cholesterol.
In the original texts of Ayurveda, which date back more than 4500 years, it was already recommended to help cleanse the intestines, blood and tissues. Today, it is known to also help maintain normal levels of serum lipids in your blood.
Guggul is a resin harvested from the Guggulu(Commiphora mukul), a tree that grows wild in the forests of southern India. Since the last few years, it has met with great success in the West due to its easy to verify effectiveness. Indeed, it is enough to take a blood test that indicates a too high cholesterol, to practice a cure of Guggul during one month, then to proceed to a new blood test, the result speaks for itself. Moreover, unlike drugs or even other natural products, Guggul does not contain statins.
We have therefore selected this root for its quality and its virtues recognized by Ayurveda for thousands of years. Our Guggul is titrated at 2.5% of Guggulsterones, its active substance.
What is cholesterol?
The term cholesterol refers to a unique molecule that is very useful for the body. It maintains our body temperature and synthesizes neurotransmitters, among other essential functions! However, too much cholesterol increases the risk of cardiovascular disease.
Good" and "bad" cholesterol
We often speak of "good" (HDL) and "bad" (LDL) cholesterol.
In reality, they are both "carriers" of cholesterol in the blood. The LDL is responsible for carrying cholesterol to the artery walls and therefore plays the role of the "bad" cholesterol, while the "good" HDL takes the cholesterol to the liver to be broken down. In fact, both have a necessary function for our body.
The health risk occurs when LDL stores too much cholesterol in the arteries, at the risk of clogging them and causing cardiovascular disease.
Cholesterol and heart disease problems are closely related. Ayurveda determines the diseases that can affect us according to the types of vital energies that animate us (Vata, Pitta and Kapha). Most heart attacks are suffered by people of Kapha nature, they are caused by obesity and the stagnation of fats and waste in the tissues and organs. Heart disease, especially high blood pressure, is usually found in Pitta predominant individual. Vata predominant individual, who are commonly elderly, are prone to dryness of tissues and hardening of blood vessels.
In order to constitute a complete cardiac tonic, the association of Arjuna, Ashwagandha and Guggul is perfect.
2 to 3 capsules per day with meals.
Preferably: 1 in the morning, 1 at noon and 1 in the evening, 20 minutes before meals.
For 3 capsules: extract of resin of Guggul (Commiphora mukul) 1470 mg titrated at 2,5 % of guggulsterones, vegetarian capsule (hypromellose), lithothamne, stearate of magnesium.
