If summer rhymes with heat and sun, this season also rhymes with mosquito bites! Fortunately, there are effective natural solutions to prevent them, and even relieve them.
Neem oil to keep mosquitoes away
To prevent mosquito bites, there is a natural repellent: neem oil. Neem oil (Azadiratcha indica) is indicated to keep mosquitoes away thanks to its strong smell. In general, neem oil is a good insect repellent. To protect yourself from bites, mix 2 ml of neem oil to 20 ml of vegetable oil or body care product in a 30 ml container. Apply a few drops of this mixture to your skin.
Peppermint against mosquitoes
It is often advisable to carry peppermint essential oil during the vacations because in addition to soothing nausea in transport, it keeps insects away, especially mosquitoes. You can mix 30 drops of peppermint essential oil with the previous mixture (22 ml of neem and vegetable oil) for a stronger action.

Relieve mosquito bites
Even if you take the necessary precautions, you can still get stung. The itching caused by the sting is enough to make you lose patience, but essential oils are there to soothe these unpleasant sensations! To relieve itching, apply 1 drop of peppermint essential oil* and 1 drop of true lavender essential oil* directly on the sting.
Peppermint essential oil calms itching thanks to its cooling and anesthetic effect. True lavender essential oil is a healing and regenerating skin that soothes inflammation due to the sting.
