The 3 doshas: Vata, Pitta, Kapha are the vital energies in ayurvedic medicine and each of them is a combination of 2 elements: Air, Fire, water, Earth and Ether (or space). Each of these elements is present within us, in different proportions, which create a unique profile according to individuals.

In reality, each individual is composed of 3 doshas, one of which predominates: It is this, that determine the ayurvedic composition. The predominant dosha can signify its own excess, and needs to be “calm”. As a result, imbalanced doshas may result to disorder, as they are responsible of all physiological and psychological processes in our body and mind. We need to find the proper balance to find harmony.

A complete test may determine its ayurvedic constitution. After completing the test, you may notice that 2 doshas collects a number of same answers: This is not surprising that an individual may be constituted of 2 doshas. Rare it may be, a constitution may be tridoshas, when the 3 are on perfect balance.

After having a specification on your constitution, you can adapt your way of eating, your activities, your lifestyle, and therefore find your well being.
